Staff Engineer (Entry Level)

We are looking for young and energetic profession to join our small design. Staff engineer will highly interact with the design principal. The successful candidate must be self-motivated to be able to work independently. Potential work setup could be working remotely but be able to meet once or twice a week. We are looking for individual who enjoys building relationship with architects, contractors and other clients.

Responsibilities include structural analysis and design, computer modeling, prepare structural calculations, site visits and drafting as required. Provide construction administration occasionally. We are eager to help you learn and grow through project and internal training.

Qualifications

BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, MS preferred
FE/EIT, PE license in California is preferred
2+ years of experience in structural design for residential or commercial type of projects, wood design preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Familiar with Office software, AutoCAD, Enercalc and ETABS
Knowledge of CBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, NDS codes
Ability and desire to learn engineering skills
Ability to provide excellent service and build client relationships
