After earning a M.S. degree from Stanford University in 2002, Chiawang's career started in the Bay Area. In his fifteen-year structural engineering career, he has been involved in numerous projects in the U.S.A, Taiwan, China and South-East Asia.
Specializing in high-rise building design, he has completed several high-profile projects in San Francisco ranging from 20 to 40 stories including 555 Mission, One Hawthorne, 45 Lansing and 350 Bush Street. In addition, Chiawang worked as an on-site structural engineer for the New Doha International Airport in Doha, Qatar open in 2014. Chiawang was promoted to an associate with Louie International in 2014 and then went on to found Chiawang Structural Engineering in late 2016.
